A bold, fruit-driven masterpiece. This lot from the Nyamagabe District is a "fruit bomb" in the truest sense. Because the coffee cherries are dried in their skins (Natural process), the sugars penetrate the bean, resulting in a cup that is remarkably sweet, syrupy, and complex.
Tasting Notes: * Primary: Black Cherry & Dried Cranberry
Secondary: Dark Chocolate & Plum
Finish: Syrupy, wine-like body with a lingering cocoa sweetness.
Origin: Nyamagabe District, Southern Province, Rwanda
Washing Station: Gitega Hills
Variety: 100% Red Bourbon
Process: Natural / Dry Processed
Altitude: 1,600 ā 1,900 MASL
Best Brewed As: Pour-over (V60), AeroPress, or a wild, fruity Espresso.
Roaster's Note:
"Lot 154 stands out for its clarity. While many naturals can taste 'muddled,' Gitega Hill remains crisp and vibrant, making it a perfect introduction to high-end Rwandan naturals."
Roasted to order
We roast Monday to Friday. Your beans are roasted fresh on our next roast day after you order, then packed and shipped.
Packaging note
Our 500g and 1kg bags have no zipper. This is on purpose.
Zippers are convenient, but they often don't seal fully. After a few uses, air gets in and the beans lose flavour faster.
For the best freshness after opening:
ā¢ Move the beans into an airtight, opaque container
ā¢ Store in a cool place, away from sunlight
